Old Business
Approval of Minutes
Minutes for 3/18/21, 4/8/21, 6/29/21, 7/28/21, and 3/29/22 were tabled.
New Business
22-23 Student Activity Accounts
Debbie Scott reviewed the status of the student activity accounts from all five schools as of June 30,
2022. The administration is recommending the removal of the activity account from Roland Green since
student activity funds are not collected at the pre-K level. A number of accounts at QMS will be
recommended to be closed, and new accounts related to the Class of 2026 will be recommended to the
School Committee for approval at a later date.
FY24 Budget Planning Calendar
The proposed timeline for the FY24 budget process was reviewed. Adjustments were recommended
regarding the December dates for the budget subcommittee to receive the initial budget proposal and
for the proposal to be sent to the full School Committee for review.
Prepare for Town Budget Subcommittee
The group discussed what information would be needed to share with the town budget subcommittee
in advance of the upcoming meeting, including enrollment history and projections, staffing (FTE) history,
and comparisons with neighboring districts and the state on per pupil expenditures.
Special Education Stabilization Fund Policy
The draft policy was reviewed and revisions recommended to the superintendent regarding. The
finished version will be shared with the town budget subcommittee and brought to the three boards
(School Committee, Select Board, and Finance Committee for review and approval.)
