SC Members Present: Lynn Cavicchi, Jenn Walsh (remote by phone)
Others present: Teresa Murphy, Superintendent
Ed Donoghue, Assistant Superintendent, Finance and Operations
Debbie Scott, Financial Operations Supervisor
Rayna Freedman, administrator intern/J-1 elementary teacher
Old Business
Approval of Minutes
Minutes for 3/18/21, 4/8/21, 6/29/21, 7/28/21, 9/13/21 were tabled.
New Business:
FY23 Fees
Ed reviewed the proposed fees for 2022-23. He noted there is an increase in staffing costs due
to contractual obligations and minimum wage and that fees in some instances have not kept up
with the cost of doing business. Data from surrounding districts was surveyed when fee
recommendations were developed. Recommendations for fees for 2022-23 will be presented
to the full School Committee with the budget request.
FY23 budget
Ed reviewed the preliminary consolidated spreadsheet
Reviewed Spec Ed students' enrollment and use of circuit breaker
Discussion of Smartboard Refresh initiative. TEQ 5 year lease of 205 smartboards with Lumio
software. Life of smartboards is 7-10 years. Lori to present plan on Tuesday. Discussion of
disposal of old equipment and use of Municibid. Discussion of professional development.
MHS and QMS includes textbooks
Discussion of COVID grant and personnel. To add to assumption that positions maintained
through grant
