The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve the minutes from August 18, 2022. Passes.
Animal Control Officer's Report
Lucky, the dog confiscated at Xfinity Center, has a court date scheduled for his owner
on September 29 h.
Shelter Maintenance
• Jeff will look into purchasing : abber bottom dishes and bowls far cats and dogs.
• Jeff and Carol continue to research cubicle "lockers" for the kennel.
• Sharon and Carol recommended litter scoops that come with holders that we could
assign to each cat cage or playroom.
• We will review the cleaning checklists at the next meeting.
• Jeff has not heard back from Mike Ahern regarding deep cleaning the RVAC system.
Cats'
• The three kittens that were surrendered to Tufts will not be considered shelter cats,
and will not go through the shelter adoption process, although M. S.F. paid for their
care at Tufts. Dr. Popp has fostered the kittens, and she will arrange for private
adoptions.
• Two kittens that Angi McGrath is fostering received the 1" negative ringworm test.
Dogs
Erika recommended VintagePetRescue.com and Carol will look into it for two of our
older dogs, to see if the website would do a courtesy posting.
