To Whom it May Concern, DI As a follow up to our conversation at the BOH hearing we attended on 1/8115 these are the steps we at Cumberland Farms take to try and prevent our employees from selling age restricted products to minors. Cumberland Farms Policy states that ANY individual attempting to purchase age restricted product that appears UNDER 30 years of age MUST be asked to produce an ID. • The proper procedures are fully outlined and discussed at the very first face to face interview with the Manager. • Every new employee must go thru and PASS the WE CARD training program. 30-45 min CD. • Registers automatically prevent you from completing an age restricted sale without keying in a DOB or bypassing the prompt twice. • All employees must read and sign a Company Handbook which states the expectation that any person attempting to purchase age restricted product that appears under 30 years old they will request an ID. • Of Age Report is generated and reviewed by the Manager. Manager then needs to review that with employee. This report documents every age restricted sale and shows whether or not a date was recorded into the register. • All Managers do random video checks to help ensure that customers are being asked for ID when applicable. We do everything in our power to try and prevent our employees from selling age restricted product to minors. We are very committed to continuing our efforts to ensure that we are never in this position again. Very Sincerely, Ruthann McCarthy Senior Area Sales Manager 2643 Hartford Ave. Johnston, R.I.02919 Tel: 1-800-452-0333 Email: Rmccarthv c cun2barlandfarms_coii Website: www=cumbertandfarms.coui Our Vision: The clear choice for your everyday needs.
