The meeting continued with an update of board activities over the past year with Marilyn
Lewis, Beth Dahlstrom and Shelly Roberts. All three women have been on the board for
many years, however, membership and interest has waned over the years.
They would like hire a consultant to help get them going in the right direction. They are all
volunteers and need some professional guidance in addition to more members.
Chairman Baldwin asked Mrs. Doherty if she would like to say a few words. Mrs. Doherty
stated that she works for the state and will reach out to her contacts for assistance.
The original number of members to be on the board was 11. However, the group has not
been able to attract that many people so the membership requirement was reduced to the
minimum number needed (7).
The Board of Selectmen and town manager will work to see which parcels in town that may
be used by the housing board for development.
Recruitment notices will be posted on the web and cable with information on the
composition of the housing board and what the group's mission is for Mansfield.
The housing board needs qualified people to serve, especially in the positions of Chairman,
Vice Chairman and Treasurer.

annual softball tournament to the town manager for veterans' needs that come up through
