Health Agent's Report a. Vaccines - HINI, Seasonal: 6 clinics have been held, I seasonal, I combined and 4 HINJ. Scott has asked that Community VNA bill the Board of Health for the pel' diem nurses participating in the clinics. By paying the nurses with federal grant money, it will keep that amount out of the town's cost when the contract is renewed. The town has received $15.000.00 from the Public Health Emergency Response (PHER) funds; approximately half of this money has been spent to pay for any cost associated with the flu clinics - police, fire personnel, nurses and supplies. Scott told the board the town is eligible for $15,000.00 more. He does not think the money will be needed. The town will be doing more clinic on February 2"dfor both the seasonal and HINl. Approximately 2,300 seasonal and HIN! vaccines have been given, not including the doses given to the high school students. A total of 1,738 I-IIN! vaccines have been given at a cost of $7,700. 00, at a cost of $4.40 pel' dose. Scott told the board ifthe clinics had been out-sourced, the cost would have been $10.00 pel' shot: cost of administrating the vaccine only - does not include the cost for supplies, disposal of medical waste 01' police and fire personnel. Because the clinics have run so well, Scott told the board he will be changing not only the location of the emergency dispensing sites but how they are run. Scott told the board most of the people at the clinics volunteet. their time: Police Lt. Walter Crickard, Fire Chief Neal Boldrighini, Deputy Fire Chief James Puleo, Fire Lt. Marc Goyette, Fire Lt.
