Minutes of October 21, 2009
Present:
Chairman Baldwin, Vice Chairman Moran, Clerk Jess Aptowitz, Selectman
Dentino, Selectman Sandra Levine, Nick Riccio, Interim Town Manager
Absent:
Executive Session
Motion: To adjourn to executive session to discuss contract negotiations with union
personnel. (Aptowitz/Levine) 5:0 passes
Roll call vote: Chairman Baldwin, Vice Chairman Moran Selectman Dentino aye, Selectman
Aptowitz aye, Selectman Levine aye. 5:0 passes
Vehicle use policy discussion
The discussion of the vehicle policy will be continued to next week. Mr. Riccio has just
finished compiling the information for the board and will have it to the board as soon as
possible.
Chairman Baldwin asked Mr. Riccio to send letter to first responders asking them to
return town vehicles. Public safety vehicles will be excluded from the request.

Motion: To approve. (Levine/Moran) 5:0 passes
Warrant No. 10016E in the amount of $152,972.26

Correspondence
None
Town Managers Report
. Fall town meeting will most likely not take place, however we need another week
to determine the need.
. Softright issues are being worked out and the FY09 books have been closed.
Free cash figures have been submitted to the DOR but we have not heard back
yet.
. Mr. Riccio will be attending an open TIF meeting next week and will report back
to the board.
. John Stanton, our new town accountant will be starting work tomorrow and we
look forward to working with him.
Selectmen's Old & New Business
. Old business from Selectman Dentino: Update on why some towns have more
engineers than others.
. Old business from Selectman Levine: Barry Meehan was in town hall and is doing
well in his recovery.
. Old business from Selectman Aptowitz: Update on rt. 106 construction project?
Mr. Riccio will call mass highway for update.
Update on TIF requirements from recipients? Mrs. Hinote will be providing
information and Mr. Riccio will present to the board.
. New business from Selectman Moran: None
. Old business from Chairman Baldwin: None
. New business from Chairman Baldwin: Went to Haunted Hallows and highly
recommends it.
Ground breaking ceremony at Hathaway Patterson this Friday at 3:30pm has
been cancelled.

. New business from Selectman Aptowitz: MMAS open house was a great time
and congratulations to everyone involved.
. New business from Selectman Dentino: None
. New business from Selectman Moran: None
. New business from Selectman Levine: Please visit Haunted Hallows event this
weekend and next. They are a great group and they do a lot to support our
community.
High school leaf raking event for seniors is coming up soon (November 11th) so
please call Donna at 508-339-8731 to volunteer.
650 S. Main St. group rehabilitation house is finished and looks great. Thanks to
everyone involved, you did a remarkable job.
