As this was the first meeting after the town election, the School Committee Meeting was opened in the
Superintendent's Office at 5:32 p.m. by Superintendent Teresa Murphy.
Ms. Murphy asked for a nomination for a Chair.
Motion to appoint Kiera O'Neil as chair by Lynn Cavicchi / Lauren Scher
Motion Carries 5 - 0
The gavel was handed over to Kiera O'Neil. Chair O'Neil asked for a nomination for Vice Chair.
Motion to appoint Lynn Cavicchi as Vice Chair by Lauren Scher / Vivian Webster
Motion Carries 5 - 0
Voted positions: Kiera O'Neil, Chair and Lynn Cavicchi, Vice Chair. Subcommittees will be chosen at the
6-7-21 meeting.
At 5:34 Chair O'Neil asked for a motion to adjourn and enter executive session under Exception No. 3:
To discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a
detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares.
