Results further indicated that landfill gas was not located in a nearby manhole, nearby catchbasins, or a surface drainage pipe. Proposal Based on the survey results to date, CDM proposes the following: 1) The installation of four (4) permanent gas monitoring wells near the northern Landfill property boundary along East Street, at an approximate 100 foot spacing, 2) The installation of the four wells within 30 days of the Department's approval, 3) The utilization of soil gas probes every 500 feet along the landfill eastern, southern and western property boundaries, 4) The investigation of the vertical extent of landfill gas withinthe soil during permanent well installation, and, 5) The determination of appropriate corrective actions based on the results of a landfill gas survey performed during permanent well installation.
