III 1988 Master Plan Discussion -
Present from 1988 Master Plan- Steve Calvin (School Committee member),
Pichard Cordon (Citizen at Large).
Different aspects of '88 Master Flan discussed:
a. Mr. Gordon felt having the Planning Board as a member of the '95 Master
flan was a_ positive effect.
b. Mr. Calvin thought p,-.'halos n member of the School Committee should be :.
member of the '95 :Master Plan - as a voting member.
c. Mr. Shaun Burke asked how was the '88 Master Plan different. Mr.Calvin
stated the process took a long time- consultants did a lot of the scut
work. Mr. Calvin thought working with the consultants really enabled
the process, as the consultants helped formulate, fine tune, aided
closure, and put documents in writing.
d. Mr. S. Burke asked about the length of the process - why did it take
3 years? Mr. Calvin, in the following discussion, thought it was due
to the open forum, the size of the under- taking, the lengthy struggle
over some portions of the Master Plan, and due to the fact of the
consultant change.
e. Mr. McShane: what worked and what didn't? Mr. Gordon felt protection
of the well sites, conservation worked well, as did Zone 2 study.
