MANSFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS Minutes of the Meeting October 2, 1972 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Seifert at 8:15 P.M. on October 2nd, 1972, at the office of New England Security In- surance Agency, Inc. Present were messrs. Amici, Holm, Vickery, Vose and Seifert. A review of the budget for the next eighteen months was made and a total budget of $3,000 for the years January 1, 1973 to Ju- ly 1974 was voted. The Chairman reported on the progress of the Cabot, Cabot & Forbes Park and is in hopes of announcing two new tenants before the end of the year. IV.; The Chairman reported on the SRPEDD meeting in Norton on Aug- ust 15, 1972 relative to the timetable i.n the building of Route 25 and relocated Route 140. We hope that the Environment- al Impact Statement will be prepared and published by the middle of October 1972 and that a public hearing will be called within two months after that date. Federal funding has not been commit- ted and it'appears the road will not start construction until the beginning of 1975. Relocated Route 140 may be a "stage" type of project with nothing definite at this time as to what would be done during the next five year period. V. The."Welcome to Mansfield" signs that are currently on display will be renewed. Contact has already been made with the Rotary, Jaycees and Lions clubs to see if they are willing to participate in this program as in the past. $150 was voted by the Industrial Development Commission as our share in the project. A fourth sign will be erected on the Route 106 highway between Easton and Mans- field. VI. There will be a meeting of industrialists and suppliers hosted by the Industrial Development Commission at the Datsun plant on the 3rd of November. Special invitations will be sent out to repre- sentatives of our town government, major employers and the general business community. VII. The meeting adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
