Because this meeting was not posted with the Town Clerk, the Committee decided to
limit the meeting to a brief update and to not take any votes.
Beverly and Rahul gave a brief update on the program's status:
• We've hired an Administrative Assistant, Cathy Van Dyne. She's a self-
employed accountant and very competent.
• We've also hired a Lead Inspector, LeadSafe, Inc. Response time has been good
so far.
• We've gotten 15 applications from local contractors who want to participate in the
program. We've scheduled a one -day mandatory lead paint training session for
December 4 in Middleborough.
• We've opened up 15 client applications - 6 were overincome, 6 have been
income -qualified, 3 are in the verification process.
• We had 4 emergency applications — 1 was overincome, 1 was rejected, and 2 were
accepted.
• The guidelines are near completion. The BRPAC committee is to review the final
document and there will be a vote to approve the guidelines at the next meeting.
Gale asked that any overincome emergency cased be referred to Social Services so that
they can seek other sources of assistance.
Next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 17 in the P floor Committee Room, to
be posted with the Town Clerk.
