Meeting began at 4:05 p.m. 1. Beverly Estes-Smargiassi provided a brief update on the Program, and in particular discussed the large, historic home currently under construction. A memo was distributed that provided details on the status of the project. No action was required, but because the project has become bogged down due to problems with the contractor, and because the owner is very unhappy but unable to make decisions on how to proceed, it is important that the HRPAC be aware of the issues. 2. A waiver request was presented by Mee Heh Risdon. The moderate -income owners of a single family requested a waiver of their 25% contribution toward the project. The homeowners had originally been qualified as a low-income household. However, the wife recently found a job and when the homeowners were re -income certified they were determined to be a moderate -income household. However, because the need to re - income certify was due to the unusually long time it took to start construction, the homeowners had a significant amount of medical bills in the past year, making it difficult to save money, the homeowners earn just over the income limit for low-income, and the program had budgeted to pay for 100% of construction costs up until this point staff recommended that the waiver be granted. The committee voted to approve the waiver request as presented. Approved unanimously. These minutes have been accepted and approved. Date: , 3 v (
