The Town of Mansfield invites sealed bids from interested contractors for G°RFB# DPW19
83078 Chauncy & School Street Water Improvement Project in Mansfield, Massachusetts,
in accordance with the specifications and documents. The Town of Mansfield will receive sealed
bids at the DPW Office until April 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM at which time they shall be opened and
read aloud. Bids must be in a sealed envelope and on the outside be clearly marked with the date
and description of the bid. Bids received after the hour named will not be considered. A;Prebiii
The Project consists of: Chauncy & School Street Water Improvement Project, which
includes, but is not limited to providing approximately 2,650 linear feet of 4 through 12 inch
diameter water main, including valves, fittings and appurtenances, hydrants, including hydrant
laterals, water services including curb stops and curb boxes, and hot mix asphalt pavement; and
all materials and equipment, services and construction inherent to the Work as a base bid.
Wage rates as determined by the Mass. Commissioners of the Department of Labor and
Industries apply to this project. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount that
is no less than five (5%) percent of the proposal amount made payable to The Town of
Mansfield. Bid deposits shall be a certified check, bid bond, treasurer's check or cashier's check
issued by a responsible bank or trust company. A Performance Bond, Payment Bond and
Certificate of Insurance will be required. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the
General Laws, Chapter 149 Section 44A through 44J as most recently amended, and other
applicable laws.
Bid Documents will be available April 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM This project is being E-Hosted

Documents" to download bid documents, review a hard copy at Projectdog's physical location,
or request a free project CD. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor, subcontractor, vendor,
individual and/or corporation to review all ADDENDA prior to bid opening at
www.Projectdog.com or at Projectdog's physical location. Questions regarding the website or

The Town of Mansfield reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid
or portion thereof deemed by them to be in the best interest of the Town. Bidders are reminded
that the Town Officials other than those listed above neither individually nor collectively are to
be contacted, nor will they discuss any bids prior to the scheduled opening. Prior questions or
