Wash tattoo well with fragrance free soap and lukewarm water. Rinse with cold water. Air dry for 1045 minutes or gently pat dry with paper towel. No wiping. Apply a small amount of a fragrance -free lotion or Wild Rose Balm to tattoo until absorbed into the skin about 3-4 times a day or as needed until fully healed (1-3 weeks). Wash tattoo every time between reapplying lotion for first 5-7 days; after that stage the tattoo resembles dry skin. Tattoo may flake/peel like sunburn — keep moisturized. PLEASE DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH TATTOO. DO NOT soak tattoo in shower, tub or ocean/pool or expose to direct sun or tan for 2-3 weeks. After tattoo has fully healed apply a high SPF to avoid sun damage. DO NOT use other products during healing process unless directed by your artist. If red bumps or a rash occurs you may be using too much lotion or allergic to what you are using. If swelling and redness persist please see a physician. The first touch-up is on us within the first year as long as the artist still works at Art & Soul.
