Dear Mr. Leite:
During your visit here a couple of months ago, we
discussed airborne emissions from our manufacturing
processes" I indicated at that time that we would be
doing sensitive air monitoring tests in accordance with
an industry —wide agreement with E.P.A.
Those tests were accomplished and certified by an
independent laboratory and have indicated a work place
exposure level of less than 10% of an E.P.A. threshold
limit which would have triggered additional testing
protocols which could have then indicated a need for
personal protective equipment for some of our
employees"
As it stands nowx we have demonstrated that none of our
employees need any respiratory protection (except very
occasionally when entering tanks for cleaning or
repair), even in the case of process operators who work
in enclosed buildings in close proximity to process
pumps and equipment.
