RE: Hatheway & Pat,erson Co., Inc.
Please be advised that the Board of Selectmen has tenta-
tively issued permission for the above -ground storage of
an aqueous solution of non -hazardous compounds at the Hathe-
way & Patterson site.
The Hatheway & Patterson site has been a problem due to sol-
vents that were disposed of in that area many years ago. The
DEQE has been monitoring the solvent problem, and the repre-
sentative of Hatheway & Patterson has advised the Board that
DEQE does not consider this to be a problem any more and that
they are ready to close the file.
Will you please review this to determine if any municipal
action has to be taken, and report back to the Board.
