On November 23, 1993 I met with representatives from the
United States Environmental Protection Agency and the
Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection at the above
referenced site.
At that time, the two agencies essentially divided the tasks to be
performed between themselves. EPA is going to perform the "time
critical" tasks, while the DEP will work on the long term
remedies.
Yesterday afternoon I received a call from EPA project engineer
Lisa Danek. Lisa told me that she would be meeting at the site
with the contractor today and that equipment and trailers would be
moved onto the property this week to begin work next Monday.
Since we had no meeting last Thursday, I wanted to inform you of
this matter in case you receive questions or comments. If you
wish to visit the site while the work is in progress, please let
me know.
