Water Connection 494 Stearns Avenue
The Town of Easton currently has a water main that extends into Stearns Avenue in Mansfield and
services a number of Mansfield residences. The Feck residence at 494 Stearns Avenue currently
has well water, but we would like to connect it to municipal water. The residential property is
located adjacent to a historic landfill site, which was previously operated by Hercules Incorporated
and is now owned by the Town of Mansfield.
We are concerned about the proximity of the Feck well to the landfill and hereby request that
Easton allow Mansfield to connect the Feck residence to the Easton water main that currently runs
by the property.
The Town of Mansfield is committed to extend the Mansfield water main to provide service to the
area within two (2) years. It is our understanding that Easton is interested in Mansfield taking over
water service to the Mansfield residents on Stearns Avenue that are currently served by Easton and
we would also like to work toward this goal.
