In accordance with the Public Notification Procedures of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan
(MCP 310 CMR 40.1403), we are hereby notifying you of the filing of a Phase I Initial Site
Investigation Report and Tier Classification for the above referenced facility. Based on the Tier
Classification, the Site has been classified as a Tier I1. The notice of tier classification will be
advertised in a legal notice to be published in The Sun Chronicle.
Subsurface investigation activities were conducted at the property in November 2004. The
subsurface investigation revealed elevated concentrations of petroleum and lead in soil and
petroleum and trichloroethene (TCE) in groundwater. The release was reported to the
Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Southeast Regional Office
(SERO) on April 6, 2005.
A copy of the Phase I report is available for public review at the Southeast Regional Office of the
DEP at 20 Riverside Drive in Lakeville, Massachusetts. Public file review sessions are
- conducted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00-11:30 a.m. and 2:00-4:30 P.M. For more
