Weston & Sampson, on behalf of Toyota Motor Sales USA, is hereby notifying your office that a Permanent
Solution Statement with No Conditions has been submitted to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental
Protection (MassDEP) for the above -referenced location ("the Site"). Further, this letter serves to notify you of
impacts May 23, 2017, a sudden release of approximately 20 gallons of hydraulic oil occurred as the result of a
hydraulic system failure beneath a trash compactor at the rear of the facility. Response actions at the Site,
completed by Clean Ventures, Inc, and McGuire Equipment on behalf of Toyota Motor Sales USA included the
deployment and recovery of oil -absorbent materials and the repairing of the compactor.
The report summarizes the response actions and assessment conducted at the Site and includes the results of a
Method 1 Risk Characterization that indicates that a level of No Significant Risk of harm to health, safety, public
welfare, and the environment has been achieved for the Site.
This notification is provided in accordance with the public involvement requirements of the MCP, 310 CMR
40.1403(3)(f). The Permanent Solution Statement is on file and available for public review online at the
MassDEP's website: (http://oublic,dep,state.ma.us/SearchableSites2/Search.asox).

On behalf of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc., Atlantic Environmental Technologies
(AET) submitted a Class A-2 Response Action Statement (RAO) to the Massachusetts
Department of Environmental Protection (MADEP) for the above referenced site to
obtain site closure. The RAO documents assessment activities and remedial actions
conducted to mitigate impact resulting from the release of approximately 18-gallons of
hydraulic oil from a compactor unit on March 28, 2001.
The RAO can be reviewed by contacting MADEP and requesting an appointment for a
file review. File review appointments can be requested by phone (508) 946-2700 or by
