In regard to your inquiry, please be advised that a Title V Inspection was conducted on
January 21, 2000, and subsequently failed. As such, the owner has a maximum of two
years in which to upgrade the system.
Both the owner and his design engineer are aware of the failure. It is also my
understanding that they have approached our Water and Sewer Commissioners regarding
a sewer connection. Unfortunately, because of the moratorium on new connections, the
Bleachery will have to repair the septic system.
However, if the situation is not abated within the two year time period, this office will
seek injunctive relief via a criminal complaint.
