Box 141 North Attleborough, Massachusetts 02760 January 30, 1993 Mr. Ken Hackett, Operations Manager Mansfield Wastewater Treatment Plant Hill at Crane Street Norton . MA 02766 RE: Cesspool Pumping Homestead Restaurant Sundown Saloon Dear Mr. Hackett, As part of the ongoing management and control of the water quality; Bungayy„)Lake, the Bungay Associates, Inc., Board of Direct`rs are very concerned with the sanitary facilities at the Homestead Restaurant Sundown Saloon located on Plain St. in Mansfield. With the restaurant abutting the waterfront at the northern sector of the lake, Rick Bassler, President of Bungay Associates, Inc. and myself, would like to keep abreast of the dates and quantity of septage disposed of by the Homestead Restaurant. I have spoken with you briefly on the telephone in regards to records that were previously provided by your predecessor Gerald St. Hilaire. Understandably, it is a time envolving process in searching back through your receipts to bring my records up to date. (I have records from 9/7/90 to 5/6/92) However, what I am proposing is to provide a chart and have you log the information on an ongoing basis. In this manner you will not be bothered with receipts from the past but be starting anew. If you would record information on the day ALE (Homestead Rest.) makes a disposal at your site and possibly the gallons disposed of at that time, I believe that would satisfy our concerns. Each month I would stop by to retrieve the chart and see if the plan is taking only a minimal amount of your time. In keeping an organized set of records, it will enable me to maintain a positive approach towards working together with the Homestead Restaurant and the members of the Bungay Associates, Inc. I will call you within a week to set up a time to meet with ,you at the treatment plant. At that time I will have a chart available for your review. Should there be any questions in regards to this program, please call me at work 699-4480 or at home 699-4292. Sincerely, James M.
