A meeting of the Board of Directors was held on Wednesday 12/18/2019. Present were Vice -
Chair, Lou Amoruso; Secretary, Sean Grammel; Treasurer, Lee Ann Cerretani; and member
Jeffrey Wagner. Absent were Chair Randy Waters; and member Marilyn Lewis. The meeting
was held in the MBC meeting room at Town Hall and called to order at 6:38 PM.
The minutes for the October 2019 meeting were reviewed. No changes were proposed. Jeff
moved to approve, seconded by Lou. The motion was approved unanimously.
The Board discussed the Housing Opportunities listed by Mark O'Hagan, as well as any further
developments on what the Town may be interested in doing. Jeff suggested purchasing a home
to flip into an affordable unit (or creating multiple units from one property). The Board
considered that option and decided to think about it for the next meeting.
Lee Ann mentioned the work done by O'Hagan and Lou described the process of settling on the
Columbine Road home that the Board had worked on with Habitat. He mentioned that the
Board had originally been concerned about working with Habitat, but eventually came around
to the idea.
Sean mentioned the proposal from O'Hagan about the Board purchasing parcels in the
Reservoir Area, doing the permitting process, and then selling the comprehensive permit to a
developer (such as O'Hagan). The Board decided to consider development in the Reservoir
Area.
Lee Ann brought up the idea of sending out a survey to the residents of the Reservoir Area so
that their input could be incorporated. It could also generate buy -in for any project there. Jeff
mentioned that framing a new project as 55+ could be a good selling point.
The Board decided to consider these options and wait to discuss with the Town Manager until
we had a coherent proposal for him.
The Board discussed a date of 1/15/2020 for the next meeting. Lou moved for adjournment,
seconded by Jeff. Passed unanimously at 7:30 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Sean Grammel, Secretary
