It is a one year only proposal that offers a payment of $15,000 to any teacher who turns in retirement papers prior to June 30, 2020. (This does not include those who had already put in their papers.) Each member completes their own evaluation and then the chair collects those into a compilation review. This is provided to the superintendent and then discussed in open session. Chair O'Neil gave a brief overview stating the complications due to COVID-19 and the fast redirection of the district in March. In the overall comments section, Kiera included all individual comments since they covered a wide range of ideas. In Summary, Superintendent Murphy MET her Professional Practice Goal, Student Learning Goal and District Improvement Goal. For each of the performance on standards, Teresa was marked proficient. Kiera read many of the comments which all commend Teresa for her hard work, dedication and leadership especially during the second half of the year. The committee felt that Teresa kept them well informed and offered the committee the ability to provide insight as needed. Superintendent Murphy thanked the committee for the evaluation results and indicated how much she enjoys her role in Mansfield. In open session, Chair O'Neil described the new contract as follows: The committee would like to extend Teresa Murphy's contract by one year. However, at this time no further changes will be made. Due to the unknown financial situation of the schools during COVID, it is not possible to allocate funds.
