Facilities Subcommittee
Minutes for January 14,2020
A meeting of the Mansfield School Committee Facilities subcommittee was opened and called to order
at 8:04am.
Attendees: Jenn Walsh, Linda Fernando, Matt Jacques, Ed Donoghue
Approval of Minutes
Minutes approved from 12/13/19 Facilities subcommittee meeting
Old Business
None
New Business
• Accelerated Repair Program
• MSBA has to be done by school, will submit 2.
0 1 for High School and 1 for QMS.
o Priority will go to HS, due by Feb 10
• We have reports from consultants to submit with statement of interest.
• Custodial Updates
• There's an offer out to fill the HVAC position, to a 2nd shift QMS custodian
• There are 2 custodians out on a leave of absence
• Policies
• Add a fee schedule to Policy KF
• Policy FB was reviewed, no updates needed
• Policy FCB-E was reviewed, no updates needed, but remove -E
• Policy KF: updates as noted, Matt will submit to Policy Subcommittee
• Online scheduling of facilities
• School Dude is currently offering additional software to help with booking space for
different events and groups
• It's a significant time saver as 8-10 hours/week is spent scheduling the use of facilities
Next meeting date: Upcoming dates -discuss at March/April meeting
