Policy Subcommittee Meeting
Minutes for April 25, 2018
Superintendent's Office
A meeting of the Mansfield School Committee Policy Subcommittee was opened and called to order at 3:45 p.m.
SC Members Present: Lynn Cavicchi, Lauren Scher
Others present: Teresa Murphy, Superintendent
Mike Connolly, Assistant Superintendent
Mary Watkins, MHS Principal
I.Approval of Minutes: Minutes from 1/31/2018 were approved, 2-0
2. Homework Policy
Mike Connolly reviewed the recent feedback he and the building principals received, which varied by school and
ages/grades of students. The consensus of the group was that there should be a high level policy and more specific
administrative guidelines for student handbooks. The group discussed the next steps for moving both items forward to the
full School Committee. Mike will make changes to the draft documents and send them to Lauren and Lynn for review and
also to Teresa and the building principals,
