the Treasurer's Report.
Marc reviewed the findings of
the Community Outreach
Survey.
There were 70 respondents.
Racial Equality, Social
Justice, Diversity, Multi -
Cultural Celebrations, and
Covid concerns garnered the
largest portion of responses.
Respondents also felt our
funded programs should
benefit Mansfield residents.
Social Media was the
dominant way that
respondents learned of our
cultural programs.
Council members should
email Marc to read survey
responses and his analysis.
Marc reviewed our Local
Cultural Council Guidelines.
The guidelines are posted on
the Mass Cultural Council
website. Applicants for
grants would have this
information to review as they
prepare their proposals.
Marc reviewed the Grant

Discussion and Follow-up
Several issues were brought
up and discussed without
resolution.
Members asked about how
we are planning to publicize
the opening of the grant
process and how we plan to
use social media in that
regard.
The key questions centered
on who would be coordinating
these efforts.
Members also felt that we
needed to be creative and
pro -active in our approach.
At least five LCC members
participated in the Mass
Cultural Council Racial Equity
Workshop. This was a
discussion about what artists
and organizations can do to
help dismantle systematic
racism. Members felt that
Racial Equity should be a
future agenda item.
Several LCC members
attended a Community
Engagement Webinar also
sponsored by the Mass
Cultural Council. This
webinar featured community
engagement initiatives from 3
LCCs. (Please refer to
Eileen's September 24 email
for steps that have been
taken).
