Town of Mansfield N/A Update Strategic Development N/A Committee Report Cultural District Update N/A General Discussion In December we will need to send out decline letters. There is a natural gap in time prior to acceptance letters being sent out. The State money needs to be allocated out to the grants. The town money needs to be allocated by June and has less of a restriction on use solely for grants. There was a discussion on the merits of granting out additional monies over funding other town cultural projects. Lisa suggested that we come up with potential projects and for local artists in Mansfield to allocate town money. We do not have a plan for projects at the moment, this should be added to the agenda in January to discuss. Sharon suggested that we should advocate our grants out to humanities, science, and STEM through advertising and other ventures. In the future, we should reach out to past grantees about the grant cycle through email. Sally moves that we allocate the money based on our grant ratings and if there are Approved. additional monies left over. We will discuss individual grants as questions arise. Sharon seconded, 1 abstention, 1 denial. Motion passed. Chris volunteered to send out the 3 denial letters. Conflict of Interest forms need to be submitted to Kaitlyn.
