The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve the minutes from September 19, 2019. Passes.
ACO's Report
• Jeff reported that state protocol has changed regarding quarantines for wounds of
unknown origin. The new procedure is to rabies vaccinate animals at the beginning
of the quarantine. Since Erika is corning to the shelter tomorrow, she will vaccinate
Coco and Esme, who are both on quarantine.
• If Coco's owner can show proof that Coco has been rabies vaccinated at some point,
the cat can go home since Coco has passed the 45 day marls for a previously
vaccinated cat.
• Ella and Nella are not house trained.
• Jeff would like all shelter key holders to record the numbers of their keys on his list
in the office so that he can track keys. Only one key is left, and Jeff might have to
order more.
